HAITI

Approximately 75% of the population in Haiti are impoverished and they are continually experiencing escalations in food prices. Impoverished children attending the Children of Promise—Haiti free school program receive one meal a day, five days a week through the ministry’s nutrition program. 

GUATEMALA

Homes of Life, a Children of Promise International home located in San Andres, Sajcabaja, Guatemala not only is a faith-based haven for orphaned and destitute children, but also operates a nutrition program.  The area in which the home is located is one of the poorest areas in Guatemala.  It is very arid and many people have to look for seasonal work outside of the community in order to put food on the table. In some communities children to not get the daily nutritional requirements.  This program provides a complete meal five days a week for impoverished children in one of the nearby communities.

If a community wants to receive help from Home of Life with a healthy meal  for their own children, then the parents have to provide a place and prepare the meal. 

The home also provides milk and vitamins to over 25 mothers for their infants.
